As a Senior Data Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming the data landscape—moving from legacy data warehouse systems to a modern, domain-driven architecture built on Databricks and DBT.

This is a strategic opportunity to shape the future of data architecture, enabling federated data ownership while maintaining strong governance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the data architecture vision and roadmap
• Guide data modeling within domain-specific data products
• Lead migration strategies from legacy systems to the new platform
• Establish methodologies to prevent duplication across data products
• Develop standards for master data, reference data, and mappings
• Implement secure access templates aligned with IT security policies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IS, Business Units, external partners)
• Support and challenge the current Data Architect in strategic planning

Technical Skills Required

• Proven experience in large-scale data architecture (preferably in manufacturing)
• Strong expertise in Databricks, DBT, and data warehouse tooling
• Experience supporting BI and AI/ML use cases across batch and stream workloads
• Familiarity with SAP data extraction (BW and non-BW)
• Knowledge of data ingestion tools like Azure Data Factory
• Deep understanding of data modeling, governance, and enterprise security
• Track record of successful data platform migrations

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Constructive challenger and proactive problem-solver
• Comfortable in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
• Agile mindset: build to scale, fail fast, learn faster

Certifications & Methodologies

• Familiarity with data architecture frameworks
• Cloud/data architecture certifications are a plus
